Your privacy, clearly explained

Consult6 is built for organisations that care about the integrity of their financial data. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is stored, and what controls you have over it. We have kept this document as plain as possible.

Account information

When you create a Consult6 account, we collect the email address and password you provide. Your credentials are stored and managed by Supabase, a PostgreSQL-based backend platform. Supabase handles authentication, password hashing, and session tokens on our behalf.

We also store optional profile information you choose to provide: your industry, company size, a short description of your organisation, and any additional context you add in settings. This information is used solely to personalise the analysis output and is never shared with third parties.

Files you upload

When you run a one-off analysis, the CSV or Excel files you upload are processed in memory on our servers during the analysis and are not permanently stored. Once the analysis is complete, the raw file data is discarded. We do not retain copies of the spreadsheets you submit for a standalone report.

The structured output of each analysis (the findings, flags, and recommendations) is stored server-side in your account so that your report history is accessible across all your devices. This enables your history sidebar to stay in sync whether you are on your laptop, phone, or another computer. You can disable this in Settings → Privacy by turning on “Disable PDF history”, which will stop new results from being saved and clear your existing history.

For one-off analyses, only the structured analysis result and metadata (organisation name, file name, date, and analysis mode) are saved to your account record. The exception is Company Profiles (see below), where you deliberately save data to track metrics over time.

AI analysis provider

Consult6 generates its analysis using Anthropic's Claude models. To produce your report, the contents of the file you upload and the context you provide (organisation type, sector, and any notes) are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic processes this data to return the analysis and, under its API terms, does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. We do not send your data to any other AI provider.

Company Profiles

The Company Profiles feature lets you save an organisation as a persistent profile and upload multiple periods of financial data to track metrics over time. Because this feature is designed to retain history, the data you add to a profile is stored server-side in your account. For each upload we keep a short summary excerpt of the data, the column headers, period labels, row counts, and the numeric metrics we extract for charting.

This profile data is private to your account. You can delete an individual upload, an entire profile, or your whole account at any time, which permanently removes the associated stored data.

Sharing reports

You can optionally create a shareable link to a report. When you do, that report becomes accessible to anyone who has the link, without needing to sign in, until you revoke it. Share links are only created when you explicitly choose to share, and you can revoke a link at any time from your report history, which immediately disables it.

Usage data

We track the number of analyses you have run in order to enforce plan limits. This usage count is stored in our database and resets daily. We do not use third-party analytics platforms or advertising trackers.

Cookies and local storage

Consult6 uses browser cookies strictly for authentication session management. No advertising or tracking cookies are set. We also use your browser's local storage to cache parts of your analysis history on your device for faster access. You can clear this data through your browser settings or through the Privacy tab in your Consult6 account settings.

Your controls

From your account settings, you can:

• Disable PDF history so no analysis output is saved to your report history (this also clears your existing history)
• Disable analysis memory so your profile context is not pre-filled into new analyses
• Keep history local to this device so it is stored only in your browser and not synced to your account
• Update or delete your account, which permanently removes your profile, profile data, and usage records

Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, usage records, and any server-side data associated with your account are permanently deleted. Analysis history stored in localStorage is cleared from your browser at the time of deletion.

Third-party services

Consult6 relies on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage for your account, profiles, and report history
• Anthropic — the Claude AI models that generate your analysis from the data and context you submit
• Resend — delivery of transactional and contact-form emails
• Vercel — application hosting

Each provider's own privacy practices govern how they handle data at the infrastructure level. We do not sell your personal information or share it with any other third parties for advertising.
